These tips are easy enough to do, but make sure you take the necessary safety precautions before performing any of these steps.

Dryer Takes Too Long To Dry

One of the most common causes of dryers taking too long to dry is a full lint trap. To correct this problem, simply empty the lint trap of your dryer. If your lint trap is clean, check your dryer if it is pushed too close to the wall. Air flow intake might be restricted because of this so make sure that your dryer and wall is separated by at least a couple of inches.

No Heat

There is an easy dryers repair solution for dryers that tumble but do not produce heat. First, check the circuit breaker in case of a blown fuse. Usually a motor will run with one fuse, but two is needed for the heating element. If you have a gas dryer, make sure that the gas is turned on.

Smells Like Natural Gas

Dryers that smell like natural gas is very dangerous. When this happens immediately shut off your gas line. Do not light a match since this might cause an explosion.  If the scent is mild then ventilate the area. If the smell is strong, evacuate the area and call your gas company and fire department at once.

Noisy Dryer

A noisy dryer does not immediately mean a dryers repair. The sound could be caused by items inside the dryer. If the sound persists it could be a  faulty drum or a loose belt or worn motor bearings.
